Boy, Bye

1 Color Handprinted Silkscreen

I grew up in Lexington, Virginia. Robert E. Lee is buried there, laying in state on the campus of Washington & Lee University. He is held with the reverence one reserves for a saint by many in the country.

I found hope as his statue finally came down in Richmond. Perhaps the South can finally evolve past Jim Crow-era intimidation tactics. I drew this up as my memorial–using the cast shadow if the statue as my model.

Boy, bye.
